Shipping and Tax Policy

SHIPPING POLICY 

At this time, items purchased from Toro.com can ONLY be shipped within the 50 United States. We are UNABLE to ship to P.O. Boxes, APO or FPO addresses, Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam or Mexico. Certain products can only be shipped to the 48 contiguous states - gas powered products can not be shipped to Hawaii or Alaska. We are also unable to deliver certain items to other island destinations that require transport via ferry. Only CARB compliant products can be shipped to California - these products are denoted on the product page and in the cart.

Toro.com uses a combination of UPS and UPS SurePost* services as well as dealers to deliver our products to you**. We offer three levels of UPS service - standard ground, 2nd day air and overnight air. Shipping costs for orders from Toro.com depend upon the methods available and the option you choose.

*UPS SurePost delivers (packages under 10 pounds) to your local post office, then the USPS does the final delivery to your home.

**There are certain items, due to size and/or weight, which can not be shipped through UPS. These products will be shipped via a delivery carrier and therefore can not be selected to receive next-day or 2nd day delivery. These items can take up to 3 weeks to receive and are unable to be delivered to island destinations requiring transport via ferry.

Items generally ship on the 1st business day after the order is submitted. Next-day or 2nd day orders MUST be submitted by 12PM CST to ship same day. Next-day and 2nd day options are NOT offered on Gas Powered Single Stage Snowblowers, 2-Stage Snowblowers, Walk Behind Mower (gas & battery), 60V Battery Products and Zero Turn Mowers.

Manuals can be downloaded online free of charge.  If you wish to purchase a manual or technical publication, it will ship USPS. NOTE: Manuals that are not downloadable are reproduced from microfiche – the paper copy you receive will not be as good as the originals.

Zero turn mowers, TimeMaster™ lawn mowers, 2-stage snow blowers and SnowMaster™ snow blowers will be set-up and delivered to you by a participating Toro.com dealer.  The dealer will contact you to schedule a time for delivery of your product.  Please allow 10-14 days to process, setup and deliver your product.  Next-day or 2nd day delivery is NOT available on dealer delivered products.

What if I want to get my items faster?
You can select a different shipping speed by selecting overnight or 2nd day shipping. Note that changing your shipping speed to a faster method will not improve the estimated shipping date, but your estimated delivery date will improve.
 
If I request next-day shipping, will I get my order the next day?
Not all of the items listed on our site are available immediately, so selecting next-day or 2nd day shipping does not necessarily mean your order will arrive in one or two days. There is no weekend pickup or delivery for next-day or 2nd day shipping.  Also, when you select next-day or 2nd day shipping, we may use air or ground shipping as necessary to get your items to you within the promised time frame.
 
Inclement Weather Policy
We are not responsible for delivery delays due to inclement weather or other acts of nature and therefore we will NOT reimburse shipping charges for these types of delays.
 
What should I do if my order arrives damaged?
 
Gas Powered Products
Gas Powered Products that arrive damaged due to shipping are protected under The Toro Warranty. Please contact your local participating independent authorized Toro dealer at Toro.com/locator for repairs.

 
Any Non-Gas Powered Products
Non-gas powered products that arrive damaged due to shipping are protected under The Toro Warranty. Please contact your local participating independent authorized Toro dealer at Toro.com/locator for repairs.

What should I do if I receive the wrong product?
If you receive a product other than what you ordered, please contact us at Toro.com/support and we will work with you to return the wrong product and ship out the correct product.

TAX POLICY

Toro complies with the U.S. tax code within each state. Therefore, all Toro.com purchases will be charged applicable state and local taxes. Please note that some states charge tax on shipping charges*. As estimate of the tax will appear when you check out. Actual sales tax will be calculated based on the ship-to address and the sales tax rate in effect at the time of shipping, therefore the amount on your credit card or bank statement may differ slightly.

NOTE: Tax-Exempt status DOES NOT apply to Toro.com orders. You have two options for tax-exemption: See your local Toro dealer. Place order online and file the proper paperwork with your local government officials for reimbursement.

*Many states charge tax on shipping charges as well as on the products themselves. Below are lists of states that do and do not charge tax on shipping.
