Rated 4 out of 5??by Queenfitz My savior during record setting snowfalls
Last winter my toro was my best friend. It helped move the nine feet of snow on my patio. It lived up to everything it claimed. My only complaint is that it is a little heavy. But I suppose it needs to be to throw snow over 20'.

I showed my wife how to operate the Power Shovel and she did all the walkway with it. She said it was actually fun to use.

Rated 5 out of 5??by Izziebell67 Easy to handle, and throws snow like a blizzard
Opened box and had it running in 2 minites(took me that long to get my extension plugged into the outlet behind my deck storage bench). Blows snow farther than my 8hp gas blower. Cleaned driveway just to see how it would work, but will be using it to clear runways in my backyard for my two little Hananese dogs and clear deck. Cannot comment on dependability as only used it on 2 occasions.

Rated 5 out of 5??by Linda55 Great product for any home.
I purchased the Toro Power Shovel during the winter after over a foot of snow had been dumped on New England. I love the ease of using this product. The electric cord is held in place by a build in hook device that prevents the shovel from coming unplugged. THe shovel is light weight and easy to handle. A nice way to blow snow off the driveway, deck and paths.

Rated 4 out of 5??by tamm haven't used, stopped snowing
I can give these ratings due to my ownership of other TORO Power Equipment. We have been having either sunny skies, rainey days, above freezing weather, and the snow/ice is just about gone.

If you need to shovel roofs that are flat or slightly slanted, you feel safer using the power shovel because you don't have to get so close to the edge of the roof. As for shoveling on the ground, it allows you to not have to bend so much. I am really happy with this purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5??by AAB000 OK for light duty
Was really looking forward to getting this. To be fair, this winter may not be the best test for it. I was a wee bit underwhelmed.
It's a good tool for light duty but it will struggle with deep or heavy snow. (It's recommended for up to 6" although it can take a bite out of greater depths). It's a little too heavy to lift to the top of snowdrifts to shave the top off them -- regular shovel needed. I wouldn't recommend pushing it into crusty or ice-chunky snow; the impeller is all plastic.
It does well enough with light snow. It shoots pretty much straight up, so if you can't point it downwind, you will get snowed on. Some of the snow lands back where you shovelled, and the machine will get covered too. It also doesn't clean right down to the surface; you may want to finish with a shovel.
It was good on a deck with snow piled too high around to lift more over it. If you can't lift a shovel, pushing this may be a good option. Don't expect too much and it will be useful.
